Learn to Speed Fly & Paraglide
April through August
Monterey's conditions allow for gradual skill advancement. Beginners can practice and refine their techniques in controlled settings before moving on to more challenging flights, fostering a steady and confident learning curve. Our training hill with soft sand launches and landings will help you master these skills in a safe environment. The smooth coastal winds allow for the longest training days in the USA. This course runs for 8-10 days. We typically start at 10 a.m. and end by 4 p.m. each day. There are also a couple of mountain flights in the area that we can progress to. These flights have more vertical height, allowing for the full mountain flying experience. You will earn your USHPA P2 paragliding rating and any speed flying special skills ratings.

Year Long Immersive Speedfly & Paragliding Course

Our “Wings of Freedom” paragliding & speed flying instruction course is a year-long program. We designed for the most dedicated and determined. To ensure a personal experience, we limit this course to 5 participants. For seven days, beginners will learn in Monterey, CA, in a safe environment. In the next seven days, we will guide you to multiple mountain flying sites. We will help you become confident pilots in different conditions. This course offers an excellent opportunity to learn the sport quickly and safely. We aim to train you to be a skilled, confident, and safe pilot through mentorship and skills-based training. We will offer you as much support as you want and need during the course. Services included are online training courses, exams for licensing, online ground handling courses, zoom classes/discussions, access to sites around the USA, help purchasing gear, photos/videos, USHPA licenses, video reviews, and a personal goals plan.
